Every year, World Suicide Prevention Day reminds us that each of us plays a role in creating hope and saving lives. Suicide is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, yet it is preventable when communities are equipped with awareness, skills, and support systems. This year’s theme calls us to move beyond silence and into action—because starting a conversation can make all the difference.
At Hyman Consulting, we are committed to breaking down stigma and building stronger, healthier workplaces and communities. To honor World Suicide Prevention Day, we are offering two free QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Lunch & Learn sessions designed to equip participants with the skills to recognize warning signs, ask the right questions, and connect someone in crisis to the help they need.

Friday, October 3 | 12–1 PM ETRegister Here
These interactive, one-hour sessions are accessible to anyone—leaders, employees, educators, caregivers, and community members—who want to be better prepared to step in and save a life.
Why QPR Matters
QPR is often called the “CPR for mental health.” Just as CPR equips people to respond to a cardiac emergency, QPR gives everyday individuals the tools to respond to a mental health crisis. The skills are simple, but the impact is profound.
By attending, you’ll walk away with:
The ability to recognize common warning signs of suicide
The confidence to ask direct, compassionate questions
Practical steps for persuading someone to seek help
Knowledge of where and how to refer individuals to the right resources
Together, we can build communities of care where no one struggles alone. Join us in taking one hour to learn skills that could save a life.
